Yelena Rivera, P.E. Honored with Outstanding Young Civil Engineer Award

Fenstermaker Engineer, Yelena Rivera, P.E. was recognized as the ASCE Outstanding Young Civil Engineer in the State of Louisiana. The award was presented to Ms. Rivera by Brant Richard, P.E., ASCE Louisiana Section Awards Committee Chairman, at the 2019 Awards Banquet and Installation of Officers on Friday, September 27 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Ms. Rivera is an active member of ASCE and, for the past three years, has served as the Committee Chair of the Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference & Show.

 Vice President of Engineering Raymond Reaux, P.E. commented on Yelena’s latest recognition. “Congratulations to Yelena for her distinguished efforts of leadership within ASCE.  She has exhibited tireless efforts within the society and as a participant in other civic activities.  We are very proud of Yelena.  She is a shining example for our team and possesses all attributes of an outstanding engineering professional.”

Ms. Rivera has been with the Fenstermaker firm for ten years and works in the New Orleans, LA office. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of New Orleans.
