It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce Fenstermaker Vice President of Engineering Raymond Reaux, P.E., as the recipient of the A.E. Wilder Award, presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Louisiana. Each year, this award recognizes a distinguished ACECL member for their continued, extraordinary contributions of both integrity and service to not only ACECL, but to the engineering community at large. The recipient is selected by past A.E. Wilder award recipients.
Mr. Reaux has 30+ years of experience as a Professional Engineer, holding licenses in over a dozen states. He’s an engineer’s engineer, with decades of civil engineering experience, having worked on major transportation programs, hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, environmental studies, master planning projects, water and sewer treatment facilities, and more.
Raymond is studious and articulate, with one goal on his mind: making the engineering industry stronger and more relevant. He is a mentor who demands high-quality work and strives to execute projects at the highest level of performance, embodying diligence and personal sacrifice.
Raymond is tenacious and filled with conviction. An unyielding problem solver, he pursues solutions through to conclusion. Raymond is a friend—to his fellow engineers, to his team, to his clients, and to the ACECL. Above all, he’s a leader and a man of great faith who cherishes his family.
Friend and longtime colleague, Dax Douet, P.E., had this to say about Mr. Reaux: “Working with Raymond for over 25 years, I can’t think of anyone more deserving of this A.E. Wilder Award. To be selected for this award amongst senior-level executives in the industry is to be part of a group of giants in the Civil Engineering community of Louisiana. Raymond is constantly thinking about how to make the civil engineering community better and always strives to best ensure that the practice of Civil Engineering is always respected as a professional skill and never seen as a commodity. Raymond’s commitment to protecting the integrity of the Qualifications Based Selection process is evident in his tireless commitment to being involved with ACEC committees for various government agencies.”
We are all better for Raymond’s dedicated service.
Congratulations, Raymond, and cheers to all that’s yet to come!
