Monica Begnaud, PE, Joins the Fenstermaker Team As Civil Engineer II

C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates is thrilled to welcome Monica Begnaud, PE, into the family. Monica will be lending her advanced skills in civil engineering and road design to the Lafayette team in her new role as Engineer II.

Prior to joining Fenstermaker, Monica worked for five years with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development in their Road Design Section out of Baton Rouge, specializing in the design, preparation, and production of roadway plans.

After she and husband, Brinn, also an engineer, became pregnant with twins, they made the decision to move to the Lafayette area to be closer to family. Monica took a break to stay home with her newborn twins, and then returned to work and school to earn her professional licensure in Engineering, which she achieved in 2021.

Monica’s work in road design and planning slots perfectly in with our Lafayette Engineering team, where she’ll be working closely with fellow Engineer, Andrew Sellers, PE, and under the supervision of Luke Hebert, PE, Director, Engineering. Monica is especially excited to be working within the Carencro community, making a direct and positive impact on the city where she lives. It brings her great satisfaction to drive through her own and nearby communities, and actually see where her work has improved lives.

Monica holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She earned her Professional Engineer Licensure in the State of Louisiana in 2021.

Monica has been married to her husband since 2016. When she’s not hard at work, Monica enjoys spending time with family and relaxing at home with her husband and their three wonderful children.
