C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates is pleased to welcome Grant Besse, PE, into the family. Grant will be lending his broad skill set in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, analysis and reporting, development design, and project management to the Engineering team in his new role as Engineer.
Prior to joining Fenstermaker, Grant worked for 5 years as a Civil Engineer for Bluewing Civil Consulting, LLC, which was a new startup at the time of his hiring. At Bluewing, Grant was able to utilize developing skills in Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) and floodplain engineering that began with his work as a Graduate Research Assistant within the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Department of Civil Engineering.
Grant’s extensive work in water and sewerage, roadway, drainage, and floodplain engineering, along with his passion for Coastal Engineering as a means of improving lives in Louisiana’s coastal communities make him an ideal fit for our Engineering team under the leadership of Anna Doucet, PE. Grant’s commitment to service and eagerness to hit the ground running have already impressed his co-workers.
“We are so excited to have Grant join our Engineering group. His skill set in H&H, development design, planning, and data analysis is a great compliment to the services we offer. Plus, Grant’s service-oriented mindset and family values exactly match Fenstermaker’s Core Values. I look forward to working with him as his contributions and expertise continue to grow together with our firm.” —Anna Doucet, PE
Grant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the same university. He is also the current president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Acadiana branch.
