Chris Harlan, PLS, Joins the Fenstermaker Team As Surveyor I

With a diverse portfolio of projects, and a comprehensive suite of surveying and mapping services, a great surveyor is a valuable asset to the team. So it is with great excitement that C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates, L.L.C. welcomes Christopher A Harlan, Jr, PLS, into the family. Chris brings 18 years of experience in surveying across a wide variety of projects.

Chris discovered his love of surveying early in his college career when he accepted a summer job working on the survey crew for a subdivision project. At the time his plan was to become a civil engineer, but after graduation, he quickly switched gears to focus exclusively on his passion. He hasn’t looked back since.

Prior to joining Fenstermaker, Chris spent 17 years working for Hydro Consultants, Inc out of Baton Rouge, building an impressive set of skills in surveying and mapping. His resumé of survey expertise includes topographic and hydrographic surveys, pipeline route surveys, containment volume surveys, survey description and job scope preparation, field research, and ALTA surveys.

As a hands-on guy who loves new experiences, Chris is the most drawn to Fenstermaker’s wide array of projects across multiple states. His next career goals are to earn PLS licensure in Mississippi and Alabama.

Chris will bring his expansive surveying skills to the Baton Rouge team under Bradford Millett, PLS, E.I., who has this to say about Chris:

Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University in 2005. He holds licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Louisiana.

When he’s not out in the field, Chris is out in the woods hunting or fishing. He also enjoys woodworking and skeet shooting. Chris shares two sons with his wife of 8 years, Brooke.
