André Bonton Joins Fenstermaker as Petrochemical Market Leader

C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates is proud to welcome André Bonton to the team as Petrochemical Market Leader, supporting operations, business development, and strategic expansion initiatives in the Lake Charles region and industrial markets throughout the Gulf Coast.

André brings more than three decades of experience in the energy sector, having held influential leadership roles at both Shell and Sasol. With a background in civil engineering from Southern University and a career defined by operational excellence and people-first leadership, André has overseen multi-billion-dollar projects, built and led teams of over 100 personnel, and fostered deep cross-sector collaboration—from municipal partnerships to global petrochemical ventures.

A lifelong Louisianan with professional roots in Lake Charles and a career that has taken him as far as Maryland and Texas, André now steps into what he describes as “a new season”—bringing with him a profound passion for mentorship, a strategic mindset, and a vision for expanding Fenstermaker’s reach and relevance in industrial markets.

From his early days managing a $6,000 capital improvement project to helping lead Sasol’s $12.8B ethane cracker and derivatives complex, André’s journey is marked by intentionality and heart. His belief in setting clear objectives—what he calls “a definition of victory”—and his commitment to approachable leadership make him a natural fit with Fenstermaker’s values.
