Harry Spavin, P.E.

Coastal Engineer

Harry’s passion for engineering began as a young child in the UK, where he showed an aptitude for math, physics, and later, design technology. He moved to the United States for university, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. It was in his senior year of college that Harry developed a passion for Coastal Engineering. He joined the Fenstermaker team immediately after graduation, and has been a vital member of the Coastal team since.  

Harry brings a wide portfolio of coastal engineering experience to his team, including marsh creation, shoreline protection, design, construction, and restoration.

PERSONAL LIFE

Harry has been a competitive water skier since he was twelve years old. Over a continuing sixteen-year career, Harry has competed in both national and world championships, earning some awards and distinctions along the way. He served as Team Captain for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Ragin’ Cajuns while attending and now serves as a Volunteer Coach. 

He grew up in the United Kingdom, moving to Louisiana for his college education. Harry loves to travel and compete in Water Ski events around the world. He also enjoys mountain biking and snow skiing in his spare time.
