When applying for an open position, you will be prompted to complete a personal profile and attach your résumé. Once you submit the application, you will receive a notification stating the application was successfully submitted along with a link inviting you to complete the voluntary Affirmative Action Form. Your submission is stored in our applicant tracking system.
Human Resources reviews all applications to ensure each candidate meets the minimum qualifications. Qualified applications are forwarded to the hiring supervisor for consideration. Should a supervisor determine that an applicant meets the specified criteria and has qualifications that are in alignment with the team, our hiring staff will reach out to schedule an interview.
The hiring process may extend several weeks. Some cases require multiple interviews. Fenstermaker values each candidate’s time and attention, so we commit to providing feedback after the interview.

I believe Survey is one of the most undervalued industries out there. Being such an important force is a driving factor that keeps me pushing and learning. I enjoy the interaction, the problem-solving, the logistical challenges, and producing a product that only we can nail down. What Fenstermaker does best is keeping family at the forefront of our values. With that as the lead, we have a sense of our purpose in WHY we are doing what we do every day, and that is key.
As I progressed through college, I noticed that my classmates who had interned with Fenstermaker seemed to be some of the brightest in our group and would often be more knowledgeable than most about Civil Engineering. Since being with Fenstermaker, I find that everyone here is genuinely kind and helpful. In a group as big as this, I would have expected there to be some clashes in personality, but everyone truly cares about one another. Fast forward twenty-three years, I’m now our Exploration & Production Director, leading some of our most tenured employees. Through our student internship programs, we are committed to providing on-the-job experience that will help to build the foundation of your future career. Most internships occur during the Summer and last approximately 12 weeks. Our programs conclude with a presentation to management detailing your experience.
