Dax Douet is an Engineering Director who obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1997 and his Professional Engineer License in 2002. Mr. Douet has been with the firm for 27 years. He has experience in design, corporate management, budgeting and planning, and project management. Throughout his career, Mr. Douet has worked on a wide variety of engineering projects including the design of various scale roadway projects, drainage systems (open channel, sub-surface, and large scale 1- and 2-dimensional numerical models for coastal environments), freeway interchanges, modern roundabouts, coastal salinity control structures, construction engineering and administration, both CMAR and design-build project delivery projects, sports park planning and design, and various commercial and residential developments. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Douet served as the City Engineer for the City of Youngsville, Louisiana where he became skilled in the planning, funding, designing, and construction of a variety of public works projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Douet has worked on numerous projects for government agencies to include the LADOTD, LDNR, CPRA, NMFS, and multiple city and state parishes. Now, an Engineering Director and Senior Engineer with the Lafayette Engineering Division of Fenstermaker, Mr. Douet continues to provide senior mentorship to members of the Engineering Division for a wide variety of projects.
Mr. Douet has been happily married since 1998 to Tiffany Cooley Douet and they have three children: Abigail, Anna Grace, and Ridge. Mr. Douet has been an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for 26 years where he served on both the church council and building committee. Mr. Douet was also a past member of the Knights of Columbus and is a current member of Regnum Christi.
