Callie Benton, a member of the C. H. Fenstermaker & Associates’ engineering team since June 2013, completed all requirements and passed the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board exam to become a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Louisiana. Ms. Benton received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2013 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Her responsibilities at Fenstermaker include hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, flood remediation, drainage design, roadway design and civil site design. Her experience includes project management as well as public outreach coordination and development of various transportation, environmental, and construction documents.
Lafayette Engineering Director, Jeanne Arceneaux Hornsby, stated, “Ms. Benton’s versatility has made her a valuable contributor to the engineering team. During her time at Fenstermaker, she has been involved in a wide range of projects including floodplain modeling and mapping, city planning and design for Scott, roadway design on the Apollo Road Extension, and FEMA policy and permit support for the energy sector. Also, Callie has stepped forward over the past few years in the City of Scott, taking on the lead engineering role managing the day-to-day construction activities of the Apollo Road Water and Sewer project. Ms. Benton also took on the role as deputy project manager for the coastal and hydraulic design components of the Live Oak and Driftwood LNG projects, ensuring timely communication, task completion, and change order management in addition to her coastal design contributions. Callie’s wide-ranging skill set is noteworthy, and she has developed the ability to perform at a high level in a variety of professional settings.”
