Port of Montes del Plata – Uruguay

The Port of Montes del Plata in Uruguay is home to the largest pulp mill in the world. In 2015 Fenstermaker’s Underwater Acoustics team was called upon by the port’s management team to perform an investigation and document the newly built port to determine if it had been built to specification. UAI work and subsequent deliverables would also serve as a baseline for future reference. A four man crew was mobilized to Uruguay and conducted the requested investigation of the underwater construction including the approach and egress to the docks and port facilities. The project duration from start to finish, including translation of all deliverables to Spanish, was one month.
