Bliss Kelley Bernard, P.E., a member of the Baton Rouge engineering team since June 2014, has earned the designation of Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana. Mrs. Bernard fulfilled the required 4 years of work experience under a licensed engineer and passed her P.E. exam to achieve this career milestone. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Mrs. Bernard received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2014. During her time at Fenstermaker she has gained valuable experience in various areas of engineering.
Mrs. Bernard has worked on a wide variety of engineering projects including environmental planning, water resources (open channel, sub-surface, floodplain mapping, and 2d numerical modeling), coastal and habitat restoration, traffic engineering, and roadway design, including multi-use facilities and sidewalk design. Vice President of Engineering, Raymond Reaux, P.E. stated, “I would like to congratulate Bliss on her achievement. She is a dynamic member on our Engineering team. I look forward to her contributions to Fenstermaker in the future.”
Mrs. Bernard’s experience includes project management and public outreach coordination, as well as designing and developing engineering, environmental, coastal, transportation, construction and regulatory permit documents and reports for a range of projects. She has worked on numerous projects for various private industries as well as governmental agencies, including LADOTD, CPRA, DNR, FHWA, and multiple city and parish municipalities. She is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies, Chi Epsilon with The Civil Engineering Honor Society, and Tau Beta Pi with The Engineering Honor Society.
